Designer Jannis Huelsen collaborated with a polymer company in the production of a genetically modified bacterium that produces artificical cellulose material.
For those of you who are like me (not so technical…): it means that this bacterium can produce a material that is biodegradable and very much looks like human skin! Its name: xylinum.
