We invite you to the new BAD Award exhibition ‘Plotting Patterns and Portals. Mapping Life and Landscapes’ which is available from 15-12-2023 until 17-03-2024 at MU Hybrid Art House in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Through which lenses and perspectives do we perceive the world, the universe, the body and the brain? We look for patterns and use advanced technology, but how do we fathom and make sense of what we see and experience? What do we learn by looking this way? Who tells these stories, and who listens to them? And what if we bend, change or turn those perspectives around completely?

The ten projects by as many artists and designers are presented in Plotting Patterns and Portals. Mapping Life and Landscapes is all about perspectives and plots. At the center are the works of the three winning teams of the already twelfth edition of the internationally leading Bio Art & Design Award. Carefully matched artists and scientists focus imaginatively on joint creative research and realization of their plan, not shunning the complex questions of our time.
