In collaboration with soil ecologists Marie Zwetsloot and Giulia Bongiorno (Wageningen University), Remco composed narrative music about the rich biodiversity found in soil. In Vibes from Below, ‘Vibes from Below’, you can hear the incredible stories of microscopic life forms in the soil, from nematodes to ancient fungal networks. The composition draws inspiration from Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, highlighting the beauty of the unseen world below us.
