Better Place Furniture Return is a burial kit for expired furniture, offering a new way to reconnect with nature by turning waste into a regenerative process. Using blue oyster mushroom cultures, this kit transforms furniture’s end-of-life cycle into an act of healing for the environment.

With a biodegradable body bag, liquid mushroom culture, and a tombstone-shaped box, the kit allows wooden furniture to decompose naturally, breaking down harmful materials and returning carbon to the soil. Through this design, Sarah encourages us to rethink waste and explore symbiosis in our everyday lives.
