‘Biology and Society’ examines how biologists contribute to society in roles beyond research, such as entrepreneurs, activists, journalists, philosophers, and policy advisers. The masterclass explores the unique social and ethical dimensions of these roles, including social responsibilities, entrepreneurial opportunities, practical challenges, and moral boundaries.
On September 14th, BioArt Laboratories hosted a lecture at Radboud University from the perspective of the bioarts, encouraging students to consider the interconnectedness of disciplines through flexible design thinking and bioethical reflection. Various projects were showcasing the societal impact of biology across different fields such as art, giving students new insights into how biology intersects with society and inspiring future career paths.
