As part of a study visit to the Netherlands, students from the American University of Paris, accompanied by professor Albert Cath, visited BioArt Laboratories in Eindhoven for a guided tour exploring the intersections of art, sustainability, and the circular economy.

The visit introduced participants to the experimental practices and interdisciplinary research at BioArt Laboratories, highlighting how artistic and ecological approaches can contribute to contemporary sustainability challenges. Particular attention was given to the transition from eco-efficiency towards more regenerative and resource-conscious models. Through examples such as BioArt Village, participants explored how circular thinking can be translated into spatial, material, and social practices. The tour offered insight into ongoing projects and research trajectories, while creating space for discussion on ecological transition, circular design, and the role of creative practice in shaping sustainable futures. The visit formed part of a broader exploration of innovation and sustainability in the Netherlands, connecting the international students to Eindhoven’s unique ecosystem of art, design, and environmental research.
