Project
Material Memory and Transformation
Niyousha Moosavi explores how bio-based materials can be transformed into objects that reflect our relationship with nature. Using a self-developed process, the artist transforms materials from a fluid, moist state into solid forms through drying, pressure, and heat. The resulting textures evoke tension and unease, while the dense, fossil-like forms preserve traces of this transformation. The work invites viewers to consider materials as carriers of memory and to reflect on how human intervention shapes the natural world.
