Behind the Tech-xtures uncovers the complex stories behind electronic waste production and management through material research, sculpture, and interviews. By using collected e-waste materials, Andrea’s project brings to light the various stages and interactions involved in electronic device production and disposal. This work challenges us to think critically about the socioecological issues tied to our everyday devices, encouraging collective action and demanding new, sustainable systems at industrial, governmental, and international levels.
