Project
Muss-Tell
Country
Turkey
Muss-Tell repurposes invasive mussel shell waste into biodegradable acoustic shelters for native freshwater mussels, helping reduce noise-induced stress in the River Medway. Addressing climate change and sound pollution, it explores mussels as bioindicators and natural filters. By partnering with researchers, restaurants, and local groups, the project builds a regenerative system where waste supports ecosystem health and reveals environmental memory.
