Dear Stranger

During the Dutch Design Week 2025 at BioArt Laboratories, visitors encounter an intriguing installation along one of the main corridors leading into the exhibition. Resembling a fragment from an old household, an antique table with a vintage typewriter subtly interrupts the everyday flow of movement, reintroducing almost forgotten forms of communication in a playful and poetic way.

The work creates a moment of stillness and invites visitors to share something—a quiet reminder that we are all living together. The installation by Jade LE RAY encourages spontaneous human connection through a shared sheet of paper in the typewriter and two chairs placed face to face. It opens up space for conversations that, over the course of the exhibition, evolve into longer stories contributed by each visitor at BioArt Laboratories.
