The Donor Design Week is a unique initiative, organized by six artists and designers inspired by human skin, the human body, transience and organ donation. They join forces during the Donor Design Week to seek attention for the importance of donor registration. They do so, by showing their work in a Donor Design Expo, a Mobile Transplantation Unit and a Donor Debate. With their work and other activities, the artists collective wants to stimulate visitors to think about donating (organs ect.)
Jalila Essaïdi, Karina van Heck, Alissa van Asseldonk, Karen Schipperen, Mariëlle van Meel and Marijn de Kok show their work in a special “organic” presentation. This unique exposition unites design, biotechnology, medical art, interior and personal experiences, which come together in a specially designed interior.
