European Solidarity Corps

We are proud to say that we are part of making a change, not ecologically but also on a social level. Our location and facilities have received a European Quality label and are now part of the European solidarity corps. Meaning that together with the support of the European Union we are able to offer young people a place to stay while they learn and grow. At BioArt Laboratories they can expand their knowledge, gain practical skills and become a part of the sustainability network.

Here at BioArt Laboratories we embrace a DIY mentality. We encourage experimentation and the exchange of knowledge and skills. Interaction and co-creation are part of our core values. That is why we take part in the European Solidarity Corps. Offering place to young volunteers from all different backgrounds and cultures to gain experiences that will take them further in their lives.

Within our program we offer three periods a year, lasting approximately 4 months each, where young enthusiastic people get the chance to work on sustainable and renewing projects and with bio-artists and stay at our location. We have already welcomed people from all over the world and facilitated all kinds of cultural exchange. Not only within our own programs such as the Talent Pressure Cooker but also in public settings, where artists and co-creators get a chance to show and share results with an (international) audience. Our expertise reaches futher since we are also supervising (international) interns from all kinds of studies, working in graphic design and communication as well as bio-laboratory research.

We believe that knowledge especially regarding technology, nature, culture, sustainability and ecology should be available and accessible for everyone. Our goal is to build a network with young and engaged people. People who have improved and expanded their skills and knowledge after their stay at our location. The outcome for them is growth within the personal, educational, social and cultural professional fields. This network of young people shares a common interest in sustainability, creativity and culture, with each other and with us. Volunteers who take part in this program receive an international recognized certificate and are encouraged to continue to expand their gained connections. These connections can grow into little hubs for fellow aspiring youth to gain access to knowledge and foster solidarity between the young people who will be our future.

Together we work on fair chances for a better future.
