Which everyday behavior can yóú alternate to reduce your ecological footprint? What comes to mind when you hear the concept of “climate change”?

Curious secondary school students from Jan van Brabant College located in Helmond were challenged during this interactive online workshop to develop inventive ideas.

Greenhouse gases, CO2, melting ice sheets, and rising temperatures are some of the many answers students gave when developing a mind map about the concept of climate change. After a theoretical introduction students, themselves actively thought about ways to live more sustainably.

The students, -age ranged between 11 and 14,- pitched a variety of interventions to reduce their ecological footprint. Such as using solar panels or an electric car, vegetarian food, shorter showers, turning down the heating, and recycling.

Owing to the enthusiastic contribution of the students the objective to increase awareness among youth regarding the topic of climate change is definitely met!
