Within her research, Kim develops new sustainable and living CO2 filters made of a stone type olivine, the mineral struvite and photosynthetic algae. Her work explores the possibility with natural, local ingredients to create new bicarbonate solutions in an energy neutral system. ‏‏‎ ‎
