“How does the death of a large animal impact nature’s biodiversity?” Noëlle Ingeveldt and Juriaan van Berkel’s ‘Dead and Alive – the Importance of Death in Nature’ explores this theme. Their immersive multiscreen video installation takes viewers on a journey, revealing the crucial role every animal plays in biodiversity, whether dead or alive. Berkveldt’s studio in Rotterdam focuses on creating audiovisual experiences that offer alternate realities and non-human perspectives on the human role in the Anthropocene, challenging viewers to reconsider their relationship with the natural world.
