Nosh works at the intersection of art and ecology, using a speculative lens to explore nature’s rights and ecological processes. ‘Reef Flux’ examines decay and transformation, combining enduring fossils with transient sculptures crafted from different algae materials. The fossilized elements are inspired by the intricate patterns and forms of endangered coral species, highlighting the interdependence of life forms. The algae evolve, fracture and succumb to mold, symbolizing the ongoing transformation and co-existence within marine ecosystems. Its serving as a reminder of the ancient history and future vulnerability of these coral ecosystems.
