Eating and defecating is creating. Rebecca’s machine is an attempt to reclose the planetary digestion cycle by growing fungi on horse faeces. Sharing the nutrient cycle from beginning to end and acknowledging its value, excretion and decay start to seem less shameful, and a mutually caring relationship is created between human and fungi.
