This ‘may’ contain hope
Country
Netherlands
Rienk explores the relationship between nature, material, craftsmanship and the human body, combining botanical forms and tactile materials with traditional and contemporary techniques. His work ‘This ‘may’ contain hope’ speaks of weight and stillness, of holding on and learning to let go. At its heart is the quiet persistence of something that, despite everything, keeps reaching towards an opening.
Part of Reclaimed Botanical Art: A language of the first generation botanical artists. A collective of 5 artists who are rediscovering botanical art.
