Sarah van Rossem (1990) is inspired by the forest. Her fascination lies in observing natural processes, structures, and textures. During walks, she carefully collects materials that she later uses in her studio to create her graphic artworks. Her working method is intuitive and exploratory. She uses a large etching press to print natural elements onto heavy etching paper. Characteristic of her work are natural tones, layered compositions, and subtle transitions, through which she attempts to document what she encounters outdoors.
