“How can everyday waste materials be repurposed into strong, practical solutions?” The ‘Cardboarterial’ by Sarrón Harfsterkamp and Nigel van den Besselaar is a newly developed material; a mix of cardboard, cement, and water. It is both surprisingly strong and impact-resistant. They are investigating various applications, from building blocks to alternatives for conventional materials. As young designers from the Netherlands, their focus is on transforming daily waste into functional and sustainable products.
