SAVE is an experimental mutual project of Julia Borovaya (artist) and Edward Rakhmanov (scientist). SAVE is an art-science laboratory, which explores the world of chemistry and physics through the artistic lens. It is a space for working with the living, the digital, and the technological. It is a space for working out and giving new interpretations and explanations to the reality. It is a space for the collaboration of artists and scientists. The laboratory is located in the basement of the Department of Chemistry, Moscow State University (Russia). It used to be a labyrinthian air-raid shelter of the Department, a place for protecting people from the scourge of war and disasters.
With Crystal, the interaction between the human body and substance is explored through transformation and performance with Anastasia Krasev. This work is about hypersensitivity, about consciousness and subconsciousness with matter, as well about a new experience of the body that arises in this action.
