‘Counter-Acting: Lexicons for the Terms of Service’ challenges the traditional design of Terms of Service (ToS) agreements, aiming to create a more equitable, human-cantered, and reflective approach to these ubiquitous digital documents. By drawing on speculative design and critical reflection, she reimagines ToS as a space for care and ethics in the digital age, bridging the gap between humans and the digital systems that shape our lives. Seda’s work emphasizes the importance of building more democratic and inclusive digital futures, resonating with the themes of the Symbiocene.
