Always wondered how it feels to talk to the moon? This year, not all events at BioArt Laboratories were on ground level. Callsigns PE1KEH and PE1RXJ from the “Vereniging voor Experimenteel Radio Onderzoek in Nederland” (VERON) came down to the Symbiocene Forest to show the wonderful world of radiotechnology. By installing a coil around one of the many huge conifers on the terrain, two radio experts were able to send and receive information through the tree. By simply using a living tree as a receiver, calls from as far as New Zealand were even intercepted!
