How can algae and mycelium impact our everyday packaging culture? Andrea Brittnek DLA and Kata Lagzi change our perspective with ‘An edible mission. More than Packaging’, where different types of functional mycelium packages, aesthetic objects and reliefs are exhibited in a wide range of Algae foil. Edible. Nutritious. Circular. Visitors are invited to try and taste this material that its designed by nature, eaten by humans, and returned to Earth. The artists’ goal is a future where nothing goes to waste, not even the packaging. As they say: fungi and Algae are with us all the time, weaving their way around the universe, filling the void, feeding the continuity necessary for existence. They give back to Mother Nature what they temporarily borrow.  The embrace, interconnection of these forms and surfaces symbolize the relationships between fungi and algae, between people, Human and Nature.
