As society moves toward zero-carbon emissions and increasingly strict energy standards for devices and vehicles, the environmental cost of lithium-ion batteries often remains overlooked. Through a subtle 2 meter long sculptural fresco, this work invites reflection on these hidden impacts, tracing lithium’s journey from raw landscapes to the battery inside our phones. The whole structure is linked with a rooted texture that explains all the different steps leading to the end result.
