SCOBY Face is a ceramic vessel for kombucha fermentation. As SCOBY naturally forms on the surface of fermented tea, its shape follows the vessel boundary. By reshaping this boundary, the project invites people to experience kombucha beyond drinking, exploring new forms of interaction with living microbial cultures – from gut to skin.
