Cyanotype Workshop

As part of her ongoing work on ‘Palaeoart in cyanotype’, the artist Lauren Raaijmakers explores the photographic cyanotype processes from more than two centuries ago through the lens of modern materials.

She shares her knowledge in the workshop Cyanotype, and invited young students to bring their own leafs that they find in their gardens to create personal works of art. Through this workshop, the students are quick to pick up the process and the steps required to produce a cyan-blue print with the use of UV light from the sun. In the end, they learn how nature interacts with different compounds and reactions, and the students are proud to bring their art back home.
