Is there a doctor in the house?

It might have been a Saturday, but that didn’t withhold a large group of young doctors and healthcare professionals from working. Like our climate, healthcare doesn’t follow the rules of a clock.

On the sunny weekend day of May 21st, a group of trailblazing healthcare professionals gathered at BioArt Laboratories to work on making healthcare more sustainable. These young doctors spend every hour they have outside of work on this goal, which means that they are not only healing humans, but the environment too.

Amongst these professionals were people from various organisations like De Duurzame Dokter, de Groene Zorg Alliantie, De Geneeskundestudent, Werkgroep Zorg 2025, Zorginstituut Nederland, Radboud UMC, Menzis, Inspectie Gezondheidszorg en Jeugd and the European Climate Pact. They got a tour of the BioArt Village terrain and a training from Flying Elephants on “How to move a system?”. No easy question, but the tour and training led to a lot of inspiration and food for thought.

We were happy to host this forward thinking event and cannot wait to see what sustainable solutions they will come up with.
